GOEBEL - a success story - from a garage to niche market leader - founded in 1979 by Brigitte Goebel and Klaus Arens – with a focus on quality from the start - which today is found in many industries worldwide - to name just a few examples - in the Power plant technology, on oil platforms, chemical plants, refineries, solar systems ... .the list is long ...
Customers such as RWE, Shell, BP, Statoil, Chevron, BASF, DOW Chemicals ... - to name only a few of the renowned names - to the carmaker Maybach, Audi, Mercedes, the German railway, - count to our customers - a small Connecting element - a screw or a rivet - with the highest quality standards - is manufactured in cooperation with our manufacturing partners - and highly appreciated by our customers - that's what GOEBEL stands for.
It all started 40 years ago - in Unterbach near Düsseldorf. A year later, in 1980 - moved to Gerresheim near Dusseldorf - rented an office building with a small hall - expanded in 9 years - by renting one garage after another until there were no more - the relocation was due - and with the relocation the expansion of the warehouse with administration building - we went to Erkrath. In 1989 (30 years ago) Erkrath Kreis Mettmann - the current location - became the headquarter of our company.
It was soon recognized that one had to settle down, to specialize, to seek market leadership and claim - "the USP - unique selling points" which were and are characterized by the invention of innovation and innovation meeting customer and market requirements - setting the necessary accents - asserting the market leadership that continues to this day - that has been repeatedly successfully implemented by our medium-sized company - a strong team effort - a "hidden champion"!
One of the milestones is certainly the double product award (the ISO award) from the year 2000 and 2008 - for two screw developments - the BI-metal self-drilling screw and the 3x harder SUPER tapping screw – which have – up to today – revolutionized - the efficiency of processing in insulation technology.
However, it was also recognized that a second foothold was needed - and so 2001 started with riveting - initially only standard blind rivets - but with the goal of one day playing an important role in the market - was the vision and the tireless will - up to high-strength blind rivets for demanding constructions - blind rivet nuts and their processing tools - which today make up 50% of the turnover of the GOEBEL Group.
In 2007, GOEBEL was successfully certified according to ISO 9001: 2000 - for the development - production and sale of self-tapping screws, self-drilling screws, blind rivets, toggles and setting tools - as well as their repair.
2011/2012 - moved again - but now only the up the street and moved to the former lighting plant and rebuilt. Spacious office buildings, a training room, meeting rooms, etc. a representative building - which reflects the quality of GOEBEL.
The quality management, plays a major role in the GOEBEL group - with 3 laboratories - one of them in Erkrath with:
Tensile testing machines, X-Ray, Zinc transmission thickness measurement, cross sections, screw-in tests, torque tests, etc.
- together with the two other GOEBEL Group laboratories in Shanghai and Indonesia - ensures the high quality of GOEBEL.

Numbers, dates, facts - according to our mentor - Dr. Winkels - count more today than ever before - and we live by at GOEBEL – something that I'm very proud of - the change has arrived!
Together with my two authorized signatories - our commercial director - Sebastian Köhr CFO - and Sven Hannisch CIO - I now manage the GOEBEL Group's dexterity as CEO - I myself am with GOEBEL for almost 25 years.
